Pheasant Season:
Last stocking of the 2011 season was Wednesday, November 23rd.
The Association would like to thank the volunteers that helped this season; John Disabella, Dan Rusnock, Ashley Rusnock, Lee Ann Rusnock & Leonardo Zaniella.

Pheasant season started on Saturday, October 22nd. The Association stocked the first birds Friday, October 21st @ approximately 3:00pm. Members helping with the unloading and first stocking are picture above.

Remember that Association button is required when hunting (or fishing) on Association property. Do not park in front of the Hollow road gate.
Father's Day 2011

The last trout stocking of the 2011 season was on Father's Day, June 19th. Two hundred fifty trout were stocked in the dam / 50 in the creek....
Susie Yeager generously donated $200. toward the Father's Day stocking in memory of her husband, fellow member and Trustee; Carl Yeager.
We sincerely thank Susie for her help. She has been donating toward the stocking program in Carl's memory since he passed away. Again, thank you very much!!!
Catfish Caught in Dam
Picture above are fellow members; Dennis Ganc and his stepson Brett Krapf. Brett caught the catfish shortly after the end of the Kid's Day tournament on May 15th.
Several catfish have been placed in the dam by interested members. The Association has been considering the stocking of catfish after the conclusion of the annual trout stocking program.
If you do not wish to keep a catfish. You are permitted to return it (catch & release). You are not permitted to catch & release trout.
Mike Long Bags Bear

Fellow member Mike Long harvested the above pictured bear last Fall. The 289 lbs. bear was brought down in Zion Grove PA.
Trout Season 2011
The first Association stocking took place on Sunday, March 27th. Several members participated.
Opening Day of trout season was Saturday, April 2nd in the S.E. PA region (which includes all of Schuylkill county.
The fish are purchased from the Zion Grove hatchery and delivered on Sundays, @ 11:00am. All help is appreciated. Bring the kids and a camera.

SHOOTING RANGE:
The shooting range is dedicated to the memory of Carl Yeager (member & trustee). His work and persistence shows that one person can and does make a difference. His efforts put in motion the development of the shooting range project.
SHOOTING RANGE RULES:
* Regular or ladies members are permitted to use the range. Guests are permitted. Social members are permitted as a guest and must be accompanied by a regular or ladies member. Social members are not permitted to bring a guest.
* Junior members are permitted when accompanied by a parent or legal / legally authorized guardian.
* Any intoxication or use of alcohol or drugs is absolutely prohibitied.
* Paper targets only. No glass targets!
* No littering. All brass, shells, targets, and trash is to be removed immediately after using the range.
* A responsible "range manager" or "supervisor" is to be designated when two or more persons are present at the range and the range is in use. That person shall oversee all safety aspects for all present.
* Members are to report any unsafe activities or conditions immediately to an officer or trustee.
* Only authorized vehicles are permitted on the range road and area. Parking is to be at the club house parking lot.
* All members are to note the established "SAFETY ZONE" surrounding the range. Persons using the range are to make sure no one is in the immediate area of the range. Shooting is to be done so that firing is done into the rear embankment or target stop.
* The range is not to be utilized the day prior to Rifle Season.
* Other rules may apply. Check for additional notices at the range, in the newsletter, web site or club house bulletin board.
NOTICE: Failure to observe the shooting range rules or behavior which presents a danger, are prohibitied. Penalties include, but are not limited to, suspension, fines, and/or termination of membership. Also, the Association will persue criminal penanlties if necessary to provide for safe use of the facility.
Upcoming Events:
2012 Trout Season:
Opening Day in the 13 county southeast PA region (includes Schuylkill county) is March 31st @ 8am.
The remainder of the Commonwelth opens on April 14th.
Members (16yrs. and older) are required to have a valid PA license when fishing on Association property (dam & creek)
